If you think of the first thing that comes to mind when I say the word “lasagna,” odds are you think about this lasagna al forno.
This lasagna is covered in delicious tomato sauce, a variety of high quality cheeses, and ground beef, and then cooked to perfection in the oven.
It’s your classic “traditional” lasagna, probably similar to ones you grew up eating.

Southern Italian Lasagna
This is a very popular lasagna dish in places like Naples and everywhere around southern Italy.
It’s actually quite different from lasagna that you would get in the northern regions of Italy.
There, Southern Italian Lasagna is layered with bechamel sauce and bolognese sauce.
This, however, is made with a different cheese mix, and much more meat.
So if you like your lasagna meaty, well, this one’s for you!
Sunday Sauce Lasagna
Let me be clear, this is not your regular lasagna.
It has everything.
The slow cooked Sunday sauce you grew up loving.
Our homemade meatballs.
Fresh, sweet Italian sausage.
Slow cooked porchetta.
It’s a hit with everyone around here, and a great option if you wanted to try something other than macaroni for one Sunday.
Pepperoni Rabe Lasagna
I guarantee Pepperoni Rabe Lasagna is different than anything you have ever had before.
This lasagna has caused a lot of controversy online, but don’t knock it ‘til you try it.
Because it’s good.
Like, really good.
The pepperoni gives it a nice little kick, and adds a layer of dimension that you weren’t expecting to be present in every bite.
But the real star of the show, in my opinion, is the broccoli rabe.
These two compliment each other so well, and make for the most delicious lasagna recipe you’ve ever tasted.

I am confident when I say this might be the world’s best buffalo chicken lasagna.
On the contrary, it could be the world’s only buffalo chicken lasagna.

Tri Colored Lasagna
We had this idea after seeing everyone go crazy for our tri colored pizza.
If people loved this on a pizza, well, odds are it would work on a lasagna, too.
And it did.
It’s a different dynamic, being able to have vodka sauce, marinara sauce, and pesto sauce in one lasagna.
It’s almost like a carton of Neapolitan ice cream, only in lasagna form.
But it just works.

Barbecue Chicken Lasagna
This was one of our one off ideas, but it just works.
The key?
Mac and cheese.
This lasagna is made up of layers of barbecue chicken and mac and cheese, and it just works.
They go together so well.
This is one of those lasagna recipes that your kids will just love (we know it’s not the healthiest, who cares?)

Last but not least is our claim to fame, the one that started it all.
Whenever we post our quattro formaggi lasagna recipe, we’re often met with loudmouth Italians that have a serious issue not having any meat.
