When in Rhode Island, I guarantee you’re looking for some delicious food.
I mean, how could you not?
Rhode Island is known all around the country for how amazing their food is; they have some of the best restaurants around.
I find that time and time again, I am impressed with all of the food that I eat in the local restaurants whenever I visit the ocean state.
Any kind of food is fair game.
They have access to some of the delicious fresh seafood you could find, delicious Asian cuisine, authentic European favorites, and more.
But their American classics…
Just wow.
When all you’re craving is a juicy, delicious burger, Rhode Island is the state to do that in.
There are many local offerings, from traditional burger joints, to fried seafood shacks that are serving up homemade onion rings and hand cut fries, to stylish New England restaurants with the best local fare you could find.
When in Rhode Island, you’d be doing it wrong if you didn’t grab a classic burger and French fries.

If you were looking for insane, over the top food options, unique drinks, and of course, delicious burgers, you’ve found your place.
Since 1995, Crazy Burger has been serving up some of the area’s best burgers.
Their Mad Max burgers feature “ground beef blended in wacky fashion,” and have all sorts of options from a classic cheeseburger, to a cajun burger, fire “works” burger with melted gouda, caramelized onion strips, crispy bacon and red pepper rings, burgers with brie cheese on them, and just about everything else you can think of.
If you were looking for a tried and true Rhode Island staple to satisfy all of your burger needs, this is the place for you.

Harry’s Bar & Burger

Known for its sliders, boozy milkshakes, and extensive draft beer list, Harry’s Bar & Burger has been voted the #1 burger in Rhode Island.
Talk about an accomplishment!
Their juicy patty is made with 100% pure Hereford beef and fresh local produce, and all of their sliders are made with love and care.
Here, you can get their very own burger sliders in many shapes and sizes, with some of the best toppings you could imagine (I mean, a burger topped with cheese sauce? The best).
Aside from burgers, their menu includes their unique hot dogs, chicken parm sliders, hard shakes, wings, and much more.

What more could you ask for?
In both Warren and Providence, Chomp is serving up their very own burgers, and trust me, they’ll be some of the best you’ve ever had.
Their stylish interior and patio create a welcoming atmosphere for people of all walks of life to enjoy some delicious burgers.
And when I say delicious burgers, I don’t just mean the traditional options.
I mean unique offerings.
Crab rangoon burgers.
Cheesy fajita burgers.
Mushroom steakhouse burgers, smoky aioli patty melt, and many many more.
This perfect place is one of the best in the game for mouthwatering burgers.
Stanley’s Famous Hamburgers
535 Dexter St, Central Falls, RI 02863
This retro joint has almost a perfect ranking on Google over thousands of reviews for a reason.
Stanley himself made a goal for himself to sell the most flavorful, affordable hamburger possible in 1932 during the Great Depression, and now in 2023, his vision is still going strong.
The same honest burger is cranked out daily, for thousands of burger lovers around the state.
There’s now a wider variety of burger options available, with many customizable options.
But the OG burger will always be available, fresh, and just as it was served almost 100 years ago.

Providence Burger Bar

As if the name hadn’t made it obvious enough, this is your hub for a good burger in the Providence area.
These guys are home of the famous $3.95 mini burgers, with cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, and garlic aioli on a Hawaiian bun.
Their 100% angus burger is 100% customizable, with a wide variety of toppings to choose from.

Their list of craft burgers is extensive and creative, with amazing selections like a buffalo burger, a breakfast burger with a fried egg, Thanksgiving style burger, and more.

Right outside of Newport in the famous Middleton lies your favorite beachside hub for some of the best burgers around.
Good grub, good beer, and good vibes is their motto, and boy do they live true to that.
Their local favorite burgers are to die for, with all of your favorite offerings in store.
You want a big mac style burger? They have it.
A double bacon cheeseburger? They’ll get it done STAT.
Classic cheeseburgers, chili burgers, even an impossible burger; you want it, they have it.
They also have a wide variety of delicious hot dogs, sides, and even a falafel sandwich.
This is a gem of a local spot, you need to check them out!

Craft Burgers and Beer

As a general rule of thumb, if a burger joint sells a mac and cheese burger, I’ll be hooked.
Seriously though, this fun little joint has some of the best local happenings all over RI.
From trivia nights, to community oriented events, to anything else you can think of, if you want it, it’s here waiting for you at this great local spot.
Their burgers are absolutely UNREAL, with some of the best specialty offerings.
Ever have a reuben burger?
Yep, they have those here; along with a popeye burger with bourbon mushrooms, a french onion burger, and many, many more.
This spot is great, and a must do when in Pawtucket!
The Abbey

This famous burger joint is “often imitated, never duplicated.”
And honestly? It can’t be.
It’s just that great.
Their long extensive list of menu offerings has received numerous accolades over the years, with people not getting enough of their delicious food; especially burgers.
Their burgers have been a crowd favorite among the people of Rhode Island ever since they’ve opened their doors, and I can absolutely say that I understand the hype.
I mean, the Tijuana Mama burger? With fresh guacamole, hot pepper rings, and sour cream? How could you NOT love that?
The Wild Shroom burger? With grilled portobello mushrooms and Vermont Swiss cheese? *Chef’s kiss.*
There are also many other delicious items on their menu, including an ahi tuna steak burger, delicious chicken sandwiches and wings, and more.
