Description
- 1 lb asparagus spears, rinsed and trimmed
- Water for steaming
- 1-2 tbsp olive oil
- 1-2 tbsp lemon juice, depending on how strong you want it to be.
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- Salt and cracked black pepper to taste
Ingredients
- Cut off the woody ends on each stalk of asparagus and season with a bit of salt and pepper.
- In a metal steaming basket over a pot or in a frying pan, add a bit of cold water, cover with a lid. and steam your asparagus over low heat until fork tender.
- Once you have fork tender stalks, place your asparagus in a large bowl. Season with more salt and pepper, olive oil, garlic, and lemon juice.
- Mix until thoroughly combined.
- Place your asparagus in the refrigerator for 30 minutes-1 hour, or until ready to serve.
