4 salmon fillets
3 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp olive oil (or vegetable oil)
2 tbsp lemon juice + lemon zest
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
2 tbsp fresh herbs (parsley, dill, or cilantro)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together all marinade ingredients until smooth.
- Place salmon fillets into a plastic bag, freezer bag, or glass container. Pour marinade over top, coating evenly.
- Cover with plastic wrap and marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes (up to 2 hours).
- Choose your cooking method:
- Grill: Preheat to high temperatures; cook skin side down, 5–7 minutes per side.
- Bake: On a baking sheet with parchment paper, bake at 400°F until the internal temperature hits 125°F.
- Air Fryer: Cook at 390°F for 7–9 minutes.
- Pan-Sear: Sear in a hot pan until crisp and cooked through.
- Garnish with fresh herbs and serve immediately for a complete meal.
