Ingredients
Scale
1 loaf of bread
½ cup softened butter
5 cloves fresh garlic, minced
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, minced
Salt and black pepper to taste
1 cup mozzarella cheese
1 cup parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Begin by slicing your bread loaf. Using a cutting board and a serrated bread knife, slice the bread into 1-2 inch thick sections. Do not slice all the way down to the bottom of the loaf; leave ½ inch of bread intact at the bottom of the loaf to make pull-apart bread.
- In a small bowl, combine the butter, garlic, and herbs. Stir until thoroughly combined.
- Mix the mozzarella cheese with the parmesan cheese in a separate bowl.
- Make your garlic bread by spreading a layer of garlic butter mixture in between each bread slice. Take a big pinch of cheese and stuff it in between each cut section of bread.
- Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet. Bake the bread for about 20 minutes, until the butter and cheese are melty and the bread is warm. Remove the foil and bake for another 5-10 minutes to crisp up the outside of the bread.
- To enjoy, tear off a slice of bread.
