Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups freshly shredded mozzarella cheese (can substitute with cheddar)
  • 1 cup pizza sauce of your choice
  • ½ cup toppings of your choice (optional)
  • 4 slices bread of your choice, I prefer 2 sub rolls that are cut into halves

Materials needed:

  • Aluminum foil
  • Cooler
  • Tongs (to remove hot pizza from fire)
  • Roaring campfire, preferably inside of a fire pit

Instructions

  1. Spread tomato sauce over the base of the bread
  2. Cover in mozzarella cheese
  3. Add toppings (optional)
  4. Cover bread loosely with aluminum foil
  5. Place over the campfire, in an area where the fire isn’t as strong
  6. Check pizza after 7 minutes to see if cheese is melted and golden brown over the top of the pizza, and bread is toasted
