Delicious Baileys Irish Cream French Toast Recipe

Ingredients

  • Thick slices of brioche or challah bread
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup Baileys Irish Cream
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Butter for frying
  • Garnish: Maple syrup and powdered sugar for serving

Other toppings: 

  • Fresh fruits and berries (handfuls of raspberries, blueberries, or strawberries)
  • Chocolate sauce 
  • Lucky charms 
  • Banana slices
  • Whipped cream
  • Powdered sugar
  • Honey 
  • Greek yogurt
  • Sauteed apples
  • Marshmallows 

Instructions

  1. Use a shallow dish and whisk together eggs, Baileys Irish Cream, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon – alternatively, you can first make the batter in a medium bowl and then transfer to a shallow bowl for less mess when using a hand mixer.
  2. Melt some butter in a large frying pan over medium heat before you add a fully soaked slice of bread.
  3. Dip each bread slice into the batter and make sure both sides are coated before frying it golden brown on both slides.
  4. Garnish with your favorite fresh fruit and fresh berries, then top it with powdered sugar, and drizzle of syrup or drizzles of chocolate sauce on top – don’t be shy and add a generous dollop of whipped cream as well!
