- Thick slices of brioche or challah bread
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup Baileys Irish Cream
- 1/4 cup whole milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- Butter for frying
- Garnish: Maple syrup and powdered sugar for serving
Other toppings:
- Fresh fruits and berries (handfuls of raspberries, blueberries, or strawberries)
- Chocolate sauce
- Lucky charms
- Banana slices
- Whipped cream
- Powdered sugar
- Honey
- Greek yogurt
- Sauteed apples
- Marshmallows
Instructions
- Use a shallow dish and whisk together eggs, Baileys Irish Cream, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon – alternatively, you can first make the batter in a medium bowl and then transfer to a shallow bowl for less mess when using a hand mixer.
- Melt some butter in a large frying pan over medium heat before you add a fully soaked slice of bread.
- Dip each bread slice into the batter and make sure both sides are coated before frying it golden brown on both slides.
- Garnish with your favorite fresh fruit and fresh berries, then top it with powdered sugar, and drizzle of syrup or drizzles of chocolate sauce on top – don’t be shy and add a generous dollop of whipped cream as well!
