Bolognese Sauce

3 tbsp olive oil

1 can crushed red tomatoes

1/2 onion, chopped

1 celery stock, diced

1/2 carrot, shredded

4 cloves of garlic

2 oz pancetta, shredded

2 oz mortadella, shredded

1/4 lb ground beef

1/4 lb ground pork

1 cup white wine

1/2 cup basil leaves

1/2 cup parmesan cheese


  1. Heat up olive oil in a sauté pan
  2. Add your veggies and let sauté
  3. Add mortadella and pancetta, let simmer for 3 minutes
  4. Add pork and beef, let cook
  5. Add white wine, and let reduce to about half
  6. Add crushed tomatoes, parmesan, and half of the basil leaves, let simmer for three hours, stirring occasionally
  7. Serve over pasta, top with cheese and the rest of the basil leaves
  8. Enjoy!
