1 cup dark chocolate chips
2 cups white chocolate chips or white almond bark
1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract (optional)
1/2 cup crushed candy canes or peppermint candies
1/4 cup roasted almonds (optional)
Pinch of sea salt (optional)
Instructions
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Melt the dark chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Spread the melted dark chocolate on the prepared baking sheet and let it set at room temperature for 15 minutes.
- Melt the white chocolate chips in the same manner, stirring in peppermint extract if desired.
- Pour the melted white chocolate over the set dark chocolate and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle crushed candy canes, almonds, or other toppings on top.
- Let the bark cool completely at room temperature until firm.
- Break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
