The Best Cheeseburger Sub (Quick and Easy Recipe)

Ingredients

2 80/20 burger patties

1 sub roll 

4 slices of cheese of choice

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

2 tablespoons ketchup

4 slices of tomato

56 rings of thinly sliced onion

1 cup of shredded iceberg lettuce

56 dill pickle chips

Salt and pepper

1 tablespoon olive oil


Instructions

  1. Put frying pan on medium-high heat
  2. Add olive oil to frying pan
  3. Season both sides of burger patties with salt and pepper
  4. Add burger patties to hot pan and allow to cook for 2-3 minutes or until blood and juices appear on the top of the burger
  5. Flip patties and allow to cook for another 2-3 minutes
  6. Add 2 slices of cheese to each patty.  Add a little water to the frying pan and cover.
  7. Allow the cheese to steam for 1-2 minutes.
  8. Transfer burgers to a plate and allow them to rest for 5 minutes.
  9. Split open sub roll with knife
  10. Spread mayonnaise on both sides of sub rolls
  11. Drizzle ketchup on both sides of roll
  12. Cut burger patties in half and line them up on bottom half of sub roll.
  13. Add lettuce, tomato slices, onion and pickles
  14. Season with salt and pepper
  15. Enjoy!
