Ingredients

2 80/20 burger patties
1 sub roll
4 slices of cheese of choice
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons ketchup
4 slices of tomato
5–6 rings of thinly sliced onion
1 cup of shredded iceberg lettuce
5–6 dill pickle chips
Salt and pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Put frying pan on medium-high heat
- Add olive oil to frying pan
- Season both sides of burger patties with salt and pepper
- Add burger patties to hot pan and allow to cook for 2-3 minutes or until blood and juices appear on the top of the burger
- Flip patties and allow to cook for another 2-3 minutes
- Add 2 slices of cheese to each patty. Add a little water to the frying pan and cover.
- Allow the cheese to steam for 1-2 minutes.
- Transfer burgers to a plate and allow them to rest for 5 minutes.
- Split open sub roll with knife
- Spread mayonnaise on both sides of sub rolls
- Drizzle ketchup on both sides of roll
- Cut burger patties in half and line them up on bottom half of sub roll.
- Add lettuce, tomato slices, onion and pickles
- Season with salt and pepper
- Enjoy!
