Description
This is my go-to when I need a simple side dish that looks and tastes like I spent way more time on it than I did.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 bunch of asparagus
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp kosher salt or sea salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder (or use fresh garlic, minced)
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- Optional: freshly grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Trim the woody ends or tough ends of the asparagus. (Bend each spear—it’ll naturally snap where it’s meant to.)
- Toss asparagus on a baking sheet or sheet pan with a little olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Spread in a single layer and roast for 12–15 minutes, until just tender and golden.
- Finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese.
Notes
Pro Tip: For even crispier edges, try an air fryer asparagus version or toss them on your charcoal grill for a smoky flavor.
